There’s a lot of love, a little shame and a dash of disdain for 2021, but now it’s time to shine up our crystal ball and make our predictions for the year ahead in film!

Double Feature: Spencer & Eternals

It’s double feature week y’all! First we settle in to spend the holidays with Princess Diana, but this experience is far from festive. Pablo Larraín’s Spencer is a beautifully moody and haunting portrayal of Princess Diana during Christmas in the early ‘90s with Kristen Stewart in the lead role. Then we take a hard right into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Eternals. Is this movie everything Edison’s been waiting for since the start of 2020? You’ll have to listen to find out!

This week we’re bringing those good vibrations while we chat about our very funky muse, Mark Wahlberg! Tune in to hear us talk Mark’s movies, his modelling and his very famous bulge. 90s fathers hide your daughters because we are about the put the career of Mark Wahlberg In Focus!

Dune & “Spice up your Life”

This week we are more than ecstatic because DUNE has finally arrived after much anticipation. Tune in to hear us talk spice, Timmy, bagpipes and DESERT POWER BABY!!! Next up we challenged ourselves with the film theme Spice Up Your Life! And finally, we played a fun and apparently challenging game Edison created called “Homespice”

Double Feature: The Last Duel & Lamb

Grab an extra large popcorn listeners cause you're in for a double feature episode! First up is Ridley Scott's The Last Duel starring Matt Damon's mullet and Ben Affleck's peroxide blonde dye job. Okay now stop trying to decipher what accents they were doing cause next up is Lamb from Icelandic director Valdimar Jóhannsson. A truly unique debut feature starring Noomi Rapace's cheekbones and a lamb named Ada.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye & “The Seven Heavenly Virtues”

This week we put on our brightest eye shadow, cracked a diet coke and dove head first into the wacky world of televangelism! That’s right ya’ll, we watched The Eyes of Tammy Faye, starring the captivating Jessica Chastain. For Our Week In Entertainment we left our lives of sin and watched movies with the theme “The Seven Heavenly Virtues.” And finally, Edison and Sinclair went head to head in a game Helen hosted called “Who do you worship?”

SEASON 5 PREMIERE: The Guilty & “The Seven Deadly Sins”

It’s our Season 5 Premiere and we’re back with weekly episodes! This week we kick off the season with The Guilty, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by Antoine Fuqua. Tune in to hear our thoughts about the new Netflix release and whether or not we felt the Guilty did our precious Jake G justice. WARNING there are spoilers! For Our Week In Entertainment we challenged ourselves with the film theme “The Seven Deadly Sins.” And finally, things get heated during a game we like to call “Guilty as Charged.”

Movie Theatres: A Love Letter (Patreon Clip)
